Domestic Violence Programmes

LGBT Victims Programme

The LGBT Victims Programme is a 12 session programme written to be run in small groups aiming to help LGBT people with the following:

  • Understand the dynamics of domestic abuse 
  • Spot the warning signs of an abusive relationship
  • Create a safety plan
  • Reduce isolation
  • Increase confidence
  • Decrease internalised anger

The programme can be run for 2 hours a week over 12 weeks, but can also be delivered as 4 half days, or a 2 day workshop. 

Working with Boys and Young Men Who Witness Domestic Abuse Programme

This programme is aimed at working with young boys in refuges, but can also be used to work with boys up to the age of 16 with a focus on the following:

  • Healthy male role models
  • Healthy Relationships
  • Preventative work
  • Addressing what they have witnessed and experienced

The programme is designed to be delivered on a 1-2-1 basis, it runs over 12 sessions to be delivered on a weekly basis.
